Dr Peter Kabunga qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School, London in 2001. He trained at the Royal Free Hospital, London, and completed his senior cardiology training at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Accredited by the British Heart Rhythm Society, Dr Kabunga holds a graduate diploma in cardiac electrophysiology and completed an advanced Fellowship in cardiac pacing and electrophysiology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney.
He undertook an observership at Hayama Heart Centre, Japan under Dr. Hiroshi Sohara as part of the B-CONNECTED program. Dr Kabunga also passed the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
Currently, he is a Consultant Electrophysiologist and Cardiologist at Darent Valley Hospital, Kent, and King’s College Hospital, London.
Dr Kabunga won a silver medal at the European Heart Rhythm Association Congress ECG championships in March 2019 and was honoured as one of the AF Association Healthcare Pioneers 2019 at Westminster Palace.
